"BIG Asian Cities - outside in and inside out" presents the result of the investigation of a couple of the largest city conglomerations of the world: Hong Kong, Macau, Zhuhai & Shenzhen in Pearl River Delta in China and Bangkok, the metropolis of Thailand.

Two different mapping metodes have been introduced both teoretically and in mapping praxis. Outside inare city descriptions from an objective and structural approach; while Inside out communicate narratives and more subjective experiences of everyday life in these so called frenzy cities. Using the two supplementary approaches it is the aim to give a more holistic view upon these huge cities, which usually are very complicated to understand or map in a single way.
