Abstract

Examinations of the participation in design processes are important to continuously advance the field of participatory design. This paper presents an analysis of how 22 young adults diagnosed with depression and anxiety participated in a design process focused on technology for health promotion. The findings identify concepts related to rhythm, tempi and investments in participation as central for designers who aim to cooperate with vulnerable users and embrace diversity in future health IT 1
