Software Development for Harmonic and Transient Measurements in Wind Farms
Publication: Research - peer-review › Journal article
Software development for long-term harmonic and high-speed logging transient measurements is described in this paper. It shows that different measurement software features have to be developed and improved in order to perform appropriate measurements. Software applied for long-term measurements used for harmonic analysis has to be reliable and robust while the logging speed does not play significant role. Appropriate buffering and multi-threat optimization avoids unwanted samples losses and improves the efficiency. Another approach is used for transient measurements where high data transfer through I/O interface is needed. Both applications are compared and most characteristic features are emphasized and tested. Some guidelines for appropriate software development for measurement purposes are provided.
