Abstract

The area of interest is disruption is the digital domain. The research
questions are: How has the disruption and digital disruption literature
developed over time? What is the research focus into disruption regarding the
digital domain and how has this changed over time? Which methods are being
utilized in research regarding disruption and digital disruption? Where are the
key contributors to disruption in general and in digital disruption? Is there a
future for digital disruption research? The method is a Structured Literature
Review (SLR). The contribution is the results of an analysis of 95 publications
within the field of disruption in the digital domain and disruptive innovation
theory in general. Works of twelve practitioners and 83 academics are
investigated.
