PBLMD, ERASMUS+ funded, project has been selected by The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) to offer a training on October 26, 2021 based on the achieved results of the project during the CBHE (Capacity Building in Higher Education) Virtual Fair to a worldwide audience. PBLMD was selected among CNHE projects that were implemented during 2015-2020.

The aim of PBLMD was to improve quality of teaching and learning methodologies and of higher education programmes in the Republic of Moldova, while enhancing their relevance for the labour market and disadvantaged groups in the society. PBLMD also had a special mobility strand under which bachelor students and academic staff from Moldova had mobility to EU project partners for studying and training.

During the four years (Oct 2015 – Oct 2019) of the Action, 32 action-oriented main outputs have been developed; 14 action-oriented spill-over outputs were also developed; 6 BSc study programs in Business (Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova), Entrepreneurship (Cahul State University), Law (Moldova State University), Software Engineering (Technical University of Moldova), Public Health (State University of Medicine and Pharmacy), and Public Administration (Balti State University) were redesign or newly developed based on Problem Based Learning and implemented from the second year of the project at these six universities in Moldova.

The aim of this training during the CBHE Virtual Fair was to share key lessons and best practices from developing, implementing and exploiting PBLMD project outcomes and outputs. A primary target audience for this training is academic and admin staff who is implementing or wishes to implement such complex, but potentially high impact project. By the end of this training, the following key learning outcomes are expected:
- design action-oriented outputs and outcomes
- navigate related complexities within and across multiple beneficiaries and stakeholders, including, students and academic staff from different disciplines, admin staff, ministry of education, and other regulatory agencies
- ad-hoc planning, development and implementation of spill-over activities and outputs and to deal with unforeseen circumstances as well as resistance to change from various types of stakeholders
- ensure sustainability of the Action beyond the end of the project

The training was provided by Prof Romeo V. Turcan of Aalborg University in Denmark, PBLMD Project Coordinator and Prof Larisa Bugaian of Technical University of Moldova, the National ProjectCoordinator. The training took place virtually on Oct 26, 2021.
