Children's extensive use of computers and gaming devices as well as inactive school settings, creates a pronounced sedentary behavior among children. Also, technology is an integral part of their everyday lives, so the question is: How can we use the idea of embodied cognition to build tomorrow’s movement and learning-initiating technology? In the workshop, we will discuss embodiment in movement and learning and how to promote meaningful movement in future interaction designs. We invite you to participate and hand in papers or demos for the joint discussions. We hope you will experiment with us in developing interaction designs that initiate movement and learning, at our newly built Lab for Play and Innovation and at the Active Living Stadium.
