    The Danish educational system has had a very special organization during almost 2 decade, but it is at the moment under political change with the introduction of control mechanisms such as standardized tests. I will present the current organization of schools in general and the characteristics of the mathematics education curriculum in particular, and will discuss some of the challenges that schools and teachers are facing at the moment due to the introduction of new policies.
