Beskrivelse

The European Music Therapy Confederation has an obligation to protect the interests of the profession and the public it serves, by ensuring that the profession functions at an appropriate level of training and practice. The EMTC is committed to creating compatibility and independence of professional practice in music therapy across Europe. An immediate aim is to establish a European Register of Music Therapy, EMTR. This will ensure that music therapists are trained to the EMTC standards and will promote the mobility of professional music therapists within Europe. The register defines the qualifying standards of a trained graduate music therapist. It takes into account differences within music therapy practice in the European countries.
