The major challenges we face today - whether they are cultural, ecological, economic, health-related, social or societal - are complex and overarching. Inter- and transdisciplinary research collaboration and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) - based education and training are needed to assess, understand and contribute to solving them. Task Force Link SSH with STEM explores how linking the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) can help universities to tackle those challenges and contribute to sustainability. The task force is working on a white paper that analyses different modes of linking SSH with STEM in both research and education in our Member universities. The white paper will also address existing barriers and enablers for optimising the collaboration between SSH and STEM, and come forward with recommendations to a variety of players.PROGRAMME
