Creative Industry sectorOn behalf of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), I would like to ask whether you would be willing to act as an external referee and assess the merits of this research proposal. This proposal has been submitted within the framework of the topsector Creative Industry NWO which is encouraging the development of new research projects to strengthen the knowledge base for the creative industry. This call for Embedded and Strategic research focuses, in particular, on the research agendas compiled for the research areas for Games, Media & ICT, Heritage and Business innovation. Please find enclosed a summary of a grant application entitled ProMove getting design thinking and patients moving (registration number CI-14-35) submitted by Dr. dipl.-ing. S. Boess. NWO adopts a peer review system, which helps ensure that the research funded by NWO is in line with the commitment of funding world-class research. Peer reviewers are experts drawn from academia and relevant organisations and independent as referred to in the NWO Code of Conduct on Conflicts of Interest, www.nwo.nl/code. These anonymous expert reviews inform committees and ultimately contribute to NWO’s decision making process. Typically two reviewers are required for each funding proposal. Please note that a research proposal may be multidisciplinary. In that case it is assessed by several experts, who together cover the various viewpoints of the proposal. If you are willing to review this research proposal, I will send you an e-mail with an activation link to a website where you can find all of the necessary documents. If you are not able to assist us, I would be very grateful if you could suggest alternative reviewers, either in your own research team or elsewhere. If you agree to referee the application I would very much appreciate receiving your report no later than September 5, 2014.
