Beskrivelse

As AI-related policy issues become increasingly complex and interconnected, it is increasingly relevant to ensure that ADD-generated knowledge is mobilized, synthesized, translated, and integrated into the policymaking process. To inform and structure the debate about capacity-building in support of robust, interconnected research for policy, this one-day seminar offers researchers a unique platform to explore the potential policy relevance of ADD subprojects. Developing an impact plan and communication framework is one step in this direction. Understanding the current legislative and political context of contested AI technologies is equally important. This seminar aims to provide an overview of Danish and international examples of research frameworks that support policymakers and other stakeholders at the science-policy interface. Particularly, the panel will explore opportunities for developing policy advice and policy recommendations that inform on-going legislative and policy discussions about AI, data, and democracy. The session will conclude with a panel debate with central policymakers and stakeholders in the AI domain and beyond, including:

Stinus Lindgreen, It- og digitaliseringsordfører, Radikale Venstre

Gry Hasselbalch, Senior Key Expert, EU’s International Outreach for a HCA-AI initiative

Thomas Trøst Hansen, Kontorchef, Uddannelses- og Forskningsministeriet

Lisbeth Knudsen, Strategisk direktør, Altinget og Mandag Morgen
