Invite to host mini track for ECGBL 2013 - proposal made - accepted Feb 11 2013 The 7th European Conference on Games Based Learning Hosted by Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) Porto, Portugal 3-4 October 2013 Title: GameAbilitation & Microdevelopment: Game-based learning for the differently-able; including disabled, aged, and associated families, carers and service personnel. Description: This session will present original research reporting on video games adopted at formal, informal and non-formal rehabilitation settings. A focus is on sharing latest advancements and outcomes from using state-of-the-art sensor-based systems, especially unencumbered gesture-based interactive controllers (e.g. commercial such as Kinect, Wii, Move and similar, as well as non-commercial), that motivate fun and enjoyable participation in treatment programs where nuance of progression is evident. Papers presenting emergent models for intervention and evaluation, for example in applied research, life-long learning and welfare society strategies supporting therapists, facilitators and care staff in learning gameplay potentials in this field, are also welcome.| Periode | 3 okt. 2013 → 4 okt. 2013 |
