Researchers and students in biotechnology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) has come a step closer to producing enzymes that can break down plastic. Plastic is an increasingly worrying problem as a pollutant, as it takes 450 years to break down. But with the new enzymes, the process of breaking down plastic is becoming ever more efficient.
