The Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Academy of Law are hosting a joint symposium discussing the evolution of evidence in court cases. Professors Michael Toft Overgaard and Mette Nyegaard from Aalborg University in Denmark are among the international guests. Mr Overgaard, a Professor of Protein Science in the Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, and Ms Nyegaard, Head of Research Group in Genomic Medicine, were part of a scientific article that led to the second inquiry into the wrongful convictions of Kathleen Folbigg.
