Beskrivelse

Mette Nyegaard and Michael Toft Overgaard, both researchers at Aalborg University in Denmark, are among the authors of a scientific article published last year about a genetic variant carried by Kathleen Folbigg and her daughters, Sarah and Laura. Ms Folbigg was convicted of three charges of murder and one manslaughter in 2003, but Tuesday, the researchers of Aalborg University cast doubt on her guilt in front of an inquiry in Sydney by arguing that it was in fact a rare genetic mutation that killed the two children, not the mother.
