      Beskrivelse

Aalborg University is part of a consortium, including energy storage company Hyme, working on the MOSS project (MOlten Salt Storage) in Esbjerg, Denmark. The project aims to build a demonstrator storage facility using sodium hydroxide, a material with high energy density, making it ideal for storing large amounts of energy. The plant is expected to be commissioned later this year. Sodium hydroxide is abundant, sustainable, and cheap, but it is highly corrosive. Hyme and Seaborg are developing a proprietary chemistry control system to prevent corrosion.(Summary provided by Infomedia) Sources:Bestmag.co.uk, 17-11-2023
