Sulzer molten salt pump supports world first MOSS renewable energy storage project

      Aalborg University is part of a consortium working on the Molten Salt Storage (MOSS) project, which aims to store renewable energy in molten hydroxide salts for up to two weeks. The project is partly funded by the Danish Energy Agency's Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program, EUDP. The pilot plant is under construction in Esbjerg and is expected to be completed by 2024. The consortium includes Sulzer, Alfa Laval Aalborg, DIN Forsyning, Energy Cluster Denmark, Hyme Energy, KIRT X THOMSEN, Seaborg, and Aalborg University. (Summary provided by Infomedia).
