In The Economist 's Safe Cities Index 2021, Copenhagen was the top city in the world for personal safety, and across Denmark, video technology is being used to ensure safety and security. Here, Aalborg is taking measures to track if someone falls into the harbour. In a collaboration with Milestone Systems and Aalborg University, a system consisting of thermal video technology combined with video analytics is able to recognise when someone falls into the harbour, raise an alarm and notify emergency services immediately.
