The AAU 5G Smart Production Research Unit was established in 2020 to connect the applied research activities of the Faculty of Engineering and Science and the Technical Faculty of IT and Design with the aim of merging expertise across multiple domains (manufacturing, robotics, wireless communication), and demonstrating novel Industry 4.0 concepts based on the use of wireless technologies such as 5G.
