The purpose of my research is to better understand human-machine creativity through computational and algorithmic perspectives with the goal of getting machines to be creative or produce artifacts that we might consider to be creative. My work is situated strongly within artificial intelligence with broader applications for all fields in which machine intelligence or creativity are important such as music, problem solving, or health technologies.
