Andrej Christian Lindholst is currently an associate professor at Department of Politics and Society (DPS), Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark. He completed a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 2008. He’s research covers a broad range of issues related to the organization, management, performance, and general reforms of the public sector. Core issues in his past research have concerned the use of contracts and competition for managing and improving service delivery in local governments. Currently, he researches issues related to crisis management and the resilience of the public sector in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the integration of Ukrainian refugees. He is proficient with mainstream qualitative and quantitative research strategies in combination with comparative research designs and has participated in several national and international collaborative projects. His research has been published in international academic journals such as Public Administration, Public Management Review, Public Performance & Management Review, Local Government Studies, Urban Affairs Review, and Environment and Planning C: Politics and Space. He is teaching subjects related to general public administration at all academic levels.
