Diana Moreno is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Sustainable Energy Planning and Management at Aalborg University. She specializes in developing geographical information systems (GIS) that integrate geography with energy system analysis. Her main research areas focus on energy infrastructure development for technologies such as district energy, bioenergy, CCUS, and PtX.

Diana holds a PhD from Aalborg University in GIS for sustainable energy (2024), where she developed a framework named GeoPLAN and explored the design of geographical tools for different phases and technologies in the green transition. Her professional background includes experience in infrastructure design and project management in both the private and public sectors.

Diana currently collaborates on multiple Danish and international research projects, and she teaches in the master's programs of the Department of Sustainability and Planning.
