Xiangyun Du, Ph.D., is a professor and Director of Aalborg UNESCO PBL Centre in Engineering Science and Sustainability,Aalborg University, Denmark. I have been previously worked in different educational institutions in China and Qatar Univeristy.  With my passion to how educational change may support youth growth and well-being, I have been committed to actions and research in educational transformation through pedagogical change using Problem-Based and Project-Based Learning methodology) – in diverse social, cultural, and educational contexts. Having worked in diverse fields of educational development ranging from engineering, STEM, teaching preparation, language teaching, business to health (medicine, dental, and public health sciences) education, etc.), my research topics included change from an inter/cross-cultural perspective, curriculum and pedagogy development, faculty/staff/ teacher development, intercultural learning and teaching, and gender studies.

Seeing myself as an engaged teacher with love, care and passion, I have been seeking new ways of improving teaching to support students with diversity (gender, ethinicity, culture and family backgrounds, among others). Having won multiple teaching and learning prizes myself in multiple countries, I have in the past decades been engaged with working with teachers and leaders on how to optimize student learning through developing agency for all. In my change agengent and management work, I supported over 30 institutions cross countries doing substantial work on pedagogy development and educational transfomration.

In my academic career i have been leading and invovled in over 260 relevant international publications, including 10 monographs, over 100 journal papers (SCOPUS, Web of Science, and SSCI), 15 edited books, and over 40 book chapters as well as over 60 conference contributions.
