In the last years, there has been a specific effort in fostering innovative strategies that aim at sustainable and climate-neutral urban development including the identification of models for sustainable economies, community building, spatial dynamics, and transformative planning practices. These endeavors have facilitated the advancement of significant experiences and accomplishments that inform the development of narratives in the context of sustainable transitions. However, despite these advances, there remains a crucial need to address fundamental issues pertaining to inclusivity, equity, and social justice.
In a time characterized by challenges such as urbanization, mobility, and resource dynamics, we welcome abstracts that will explore the significant implications and interrelations of urban sustainability and climate change. We will examine the right to the city and inclusive transformations, place homogenization, policy adaptability, cultural resilience, and multilevel governance dynamics.
