1Gbps Air Interface for Local Area Cellular Networks: Long Term Evolution of Optimized TDD-based Cellular Local Area Networks (LA-TDD) under the Framework of future IMT-Advanced Systems

The goal of the project is to research novel concepts and ideas for adoption of future wireless networks based on Time Division Duplex (TDD) for local area coverage, where the aim is to provide a date rate of 1Gbps with a spectral efficiency of 10bps/Hz. These techniques will be developed under the working item IMT-Advanced (IMT-A), using LTE (Long Term Evolution) rel.8 as a system reference. Solutions may suggest both evolutionary and revolutionary steps from LTE rel.8.
