A Contribution of International Criminal Law to Global Environmental Protection and Climate Change Mitigation?

The PhD project examines the possibilities and limitations of the Rome Statute when it comes to prosecution for crimes related to environmental harm and climate change. The project further considers if any potential of the Rome Statute in this regard should be expanded, or if legal means to enhance environmental protection and climate change mitigation should be found outside the legal framework of the Rome Statute.
