Aalborg University-Huawei Energy Joint Innovation Center (AHEIC)

Over the past three years, the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University has collaborated with Huawei Watt Lab on the stability and control of power converters in photovoltaic (PV) power generation and other grid-connected applications. A series of research outcomes have been transferred to the Huawei Network Energy business. To further strengthen the research collaboration, the Aalborg University-Huawei Energy Joint Innovation Center (AHEIC) is established, fully sponsored by Huawei, which is the first joint research center in the field of network energy in Europe. The mission of AHEIC is to develop power conversion and control technologies for sustainable, reliable, and efficient energy supply system for information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices. The center is managed collectively by Aalborg University and Huawei Watt Lab, and Professor Xiongfei Wang serves as the center director.
