Adherent cells present in human cord blood

Regenerative medicine using undifferentiated stem/progenitor cells has a potential in the treatment of a variety of diseases. One basic question is: What are the best sources of stem cells? The Laboratory for Stem Cell Research is testing the possibility that mesenchymal stem cells may be harvested from human cord blood. So far, our attempt has been unsuccessful.
