Application of product models in extended enterprises (network project)

    Projektdetaljer

    Beskrivelse

This project is based on a network consisting of several Danish research institutions and addresses the subject of product modularization and its relationship to a number of current management issues. Areas such as strategic product platforms, mass-customization, and others involving modularizations that are assumed to impact on essentially all functions within the organization. The objective of the project is to develop a phenomenological model of modularization in order to gain a better understanding of the concept. Based on this understanding, a contingency approach to modularization drawing from several cases will be followed in order to propose a contingent model for modularization. Duration: Fall 2000 - Fall 2003. External partners: Department of Manufacturing Engineering, DTU, Lars Hvam and Martin Malis; Center for Production at Danish Technological Institute, Jens Foged; Danfoss, Michael Pedersen; Niro, Gerhardt Jacobsen.
