Bredbåndsmodellering af distributionsnettet / Broad-band modelling of the distribution network

Projektdetaljer

Beskrivelse

The purpose of the project is to build a broad band model of the distribution network grid, which may be used in the local compensation project and if the network grid is used for communications using high frequency signals. The focus is on modelling of 4-wire, low voltage distribution cables with nonlinear loads. The project is coordinated with a project at DTU, Denmark where the focus is on three phase, distribution transformers and 10- 20 kV 3-wire cables. So far a model of the 4-wire cable has been set up, and the model verified by measurements on cables in the laboratory, and on a 400 m long cable in the field and further by measurement on fire-wire cables on the Kyndby test site, where also non-linear loads have been connected to the cables for verification of the models. The model takes into account eddy currents, proximity effect as well as the effect from non-ideal ground. The project is ecpected finished by a PhD defence in April 2003.
