Beskrivelse

This research network looks to study the changing role perceptions of journalists and states that the current structural changes journalism is undergoing are similar in size and impact to the transition the mass media underwent at the end of the 19th century. The contemporary influence of digitalization and mobile communications is changing the informational needs of citizens and journalism must adapt. These changes have implications for the participation of citizens in the democratic process and for how they shape and give meaning to their daily lives.
