Cell-Free Massive MIMO for industry 4.0 usecases

5G, with faster and more reliable digital connectivity, emerged as critical wireless technology for industry 4.0. One of the essential technologies of 5G is Massive MIMO, where each base station is equipped with a huge number of antennas to exploit the spatial properties of the propagation environment and gain significant spectral gains. Massive MIMO with a distributed deployment has invoked a new paradigm of communication model called cell-free systems; unlike the conventional cellular systems, they promise uniform Quality of Service to everyone by removing the concept of the cell boundary.
