The aim of this project is to develop a network of practical and intellectual knowledge and training exchange between Chinese and European Universities in the field of sustainable building design and construction. Activities include: o Establish the Sino-European Centre of Building and Construction o Develop a centre website as a central resource for information and communication, including a database of appropriate tools, case study examples and teaching material in the field of sustainable building design and construction. o Design of the training course modules and executive training courses, including identification of the specific needs and constraints in the west China region. Preparation of material for distribution o Preparation and delivery of training workshops and a conference. o Development of long term Sino-European collaborative structures o Staff/PhD student supervisions via internet and short term visits to the EU universities and research laboratories The Project is funded through the EU ASIA-LINK programme. Participants: Aalborg University, Cambridge University, UK; Chongqing University, Chongqing, China and Technical University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal.
