    Beskrivelse

ECO2PAINTER aims at the development of scalable, flexible and user-friendly robotic systems for economic and ecologic painting even at small batch-sizes. ECO2PAINTER aims at the development of needed novel technology for self-programming and adapting painting robots. Project results will allow eco-efficient high-quality painting even of very small lot-sizes with downtimes during product changes that are 10-100 times shorter than those of conventional systems. The objectives are: • Development of a prototype for a robotic painting-system that programs itself by use of vision and a “what we see is what we paint” approach at high quality. • Automatic application programming within minutes instead of hours/days/weeks for minimal downtimes at product changes and mixed production • Reduction of used paint and increased quality • Field tests Eco2Painter (Economical and Ecological High Quality Painting at Highly Scaleable Batch Sizes) is a project financed under EU-s 6th frame work (Horizontal Research Activities Involving SMEs Co-operative Research). The project involves partners from Denmark (Inropa ApS,. AMROSE ApS, Crisplant A/S, and AAU), Austria (Profactor (coordinator) and Atensor) and Germany (LACTEC and ASIS). The project has a budget of 1.400.000 € (AAU budget: 183.000 €). The task of AAU is to develop an automatic multi-robot scheduler which can distribute paint stroke to a number of robots. The project started July 2005 and will run for 2 years.
