Elektrisk Design og Optimering af Vindmøller - Simuleringsplatform

Projektdetaljer

Beskrivelse

The project is a research collaboration between Risø National Laboratory/VEA and Aalborg University, Institute of Energy Technology with founding from the Danish Energy Agency. The project will run in the time period 2004-2006 and will continue the project Electrical Design and Control. A Simulation platform to model, optimise and design wind turbines (Phase I). Different models for the components within a wind turbine have been developed in Phase I. These models are implemented in four simulation tools namely: HAWC, DIgSILENT, Saber, Matlab/Simulink. After the Phase I two toolboxes for the simulation of the wind turbine systems have been developed; one in Matlab/Simulink and one in Saber. Two major concepts for wind turbines including the control were implemented in DigSilent, namely: active stall wind turbine with squirrel-cage induction generator and variable speed/pitch wind turbine with doubly-fed induction generator. A reduced order model for induction generator was implemented in the HAWC?s core. The main goals in the Phase II (2004-2006) are: To extend the developed model library in order to simulate new wind turbine concepts To improve the existing models to simulate special effects To validate the developed models and new electric design for wind turbines in collaboration with the industry To improve the simulation tools so that an iterative optimal design method, where different simulation tools are used in parallel, can be obtained The developed models and simulation tools from Phase I are still available for Danish wind turbine industry. The project has following active researchers: Florin Iov, Frede Blaabjerg, Anca Daniela Hansen, Poul Sørensen, Nicolaos Antonio Cutululis.
