Beskrivelse

EMI/EMC in power electronics area has recently received significant interest due to the high penetration of power electronics systems such as renewable energies at generation side and motor drives at consumption level and the introduction of new semiconductor materials like wide band-gap (WBG) devices to further improve energy efficiency. However, due to inherent pulsating behavior of power electronics technology and faster switching of new semiconductor materials, the electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues generated from power electronics has become more problematic. Therefore, new modeling approaches and systematic design to mitigate EMI and ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) must be in place.
NextGen EMC Lab project is an investment on commercial testing equipment to further improve the EMC research infrastructure at AAU Energy to provide scientific breakthroughs and ensure Denmark to be in the forefront of research and development in EMI/EMC in power electronics and its applications.
