Procurement and tendering strategies are paramount to whether circular solutions can be implemented in construction projects. Little is however known about the two core activities of prequalification and bidding due to their confidential nature. The purpose of this project is to examine which dynamics that fosters or hampers a circular transition of prequalification and bidding practices in a contracting firm. More specifically, the project will examine existing prequalification and bidding practices, assess how clients’ procurement strategies shape contractors’ practices, and synthesise lessons learned from implementing new prequalification and bidding approaches.
