FOVITS

In collaboration with Center for Sprogteknologi (CST), Copenhagen University and Copenhagen Business School (CBS) the SMC-group is involved in offering research based continued education via the project FOVITS, which is supported by the Ministry for Science, Technology and Development in the period September 2004 ? December 2005. FOVITS courses will only be defined and planned if these are requested by companies associated with the FOVITS project. These cover a number of companies active within the Danish speech- and language technology field. So far three courses have been defined of which the he SMC group will offer a two-day course in ?Applied Speech Technology? in the spring 2005 covering speech recognition, speech synthesis and speech based interactive systems. Hands-on experience using such systems in Danish will be given high priority within the course. During 2005 further courses will be considered and planned.
