Projektdetaljer

Beskrivelse

The aim of the project is to investigate the role of point source carbon capture and direct air carbon capture in the energy system. With an overall transition of society and the energy system to a more sustainable future there is a requirement to implement large amounts of renewable energy into the system, and remove CO2 to lower the climate impact of the energy and production sector. This will enable a roadmap for carbon capture in Denmark, combining the knowledge of demand for carbon with the knowledge of resource location.

The technological performance of carbon capture will be considered in the system analysis. The energy system analysis will be supported by spatial analysis supporting the resource assessment, and an assessment of economic impacts. Collectively, the project will assess technology and economy issues for carbon capture deployment, consolidated into recommendations for how carbon capture can efficiently be system integrated.
