LEAN implementation - A research project in collaboration with VELUX A/S

The research in collaboration with Velux a/s is an action research process through 15 months. The research object was to understand how the concept of lean manufacturing is implemented in a Danish context. More precise the following questions were asked: (i) How is Lean looking in a Danish context? (ii) How is Lean affection the companies' performances? (iii) How is Lean implemented? (iv) What are the enabling and disabling factors in the implementation process?

The project period is August 2005 through October 2006, and the project is carried through by Assistant Professor Jacob S. Nielsen.
