    Beskrivelse

The background for this project is the increasing focus on and discussion of the Danish building sector's limited improvement in efficiency and effectiveness. One of the reasons for the lack in improvements is, from my point of view, that the knowledge gained at projects is almost never reused. The knowledge does not undertake further development nor is it used on subsequent projects for improving the building process.

The Ph.D.-project will focus on how learning and knowledge diffusion happens on building sites. The main research question is how to support the learning activities at building projects with the aim to make the building process more effective. It is a strong whish to contribute to both the practice in the building industry and the academic community. A lager building project is used as a main case and the method is partly action research.

The Ph.D. project started in June 2004 and is partly sponsored by the BygSoL-initiative. The supervisors are Willy Olsen (AAU), Søren Fisker (Vitus Bering) and Henriette Hall-Andersen (Technological Institute).

The PhD was defended August 29 2008 and the degree awarded December 17 2008.
