Abstract: 
The modern power system is becoming more complicated due to the ever increasing penetration of power electronics, especially the application of MMCs, which leads to the demand on the new converter control requirements in order to sustain quality and stability of the converter-dominated grid. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence (AI) which has excellent ability containing both of accuracy and response speed, can deal with nonlinear problem after great training is adopted in this project to help MMC sense the state of power grid. This project focuses on advanced control of MMC considering real time grid state of stability assessment to provide a more reliable and functional solution and make a smart converter-dominated grid power system.
