Multipel elastisk spredning af overfladeplasmoner / Multiple Elastic Scattering of Surface Plasmons Polaritons

Multiple scattering phenomena related to elastic surface plasmon polariton scattering have been investigated experimentally and modelled theoretically. Numerical simulations of multiple scattering by periodically placed point-like scatterers have been carried out and compared with the experimental results. Preliminary investigations of surface plasmon polariton propagation and scattering along periodic nano-structured metal surfaces have been made showing the existence of the band gap effect for surface polaritons.
