Beskrivelse

Nano-satellites are a new wide-spreading technology. Their functionality and lifetime is tightly coupled to their battery system. The project focuses on understanding battery operation and demands in nano-sats, which includes thermo-electrical modelling. Moreover, the main degradation factors will be identified. Based on the obtained knowledge, a life extending technical design and a control strategy will be proposed. Furthermore, state estimation techniques suitable for nano-satellites will be in focus (state-of-charge, state-of-health), including battery faults analysis and their possible mitigation.
