Optimization and development of electrical ovens/Optimering og udvikling af elovne

Projektdetaljer

Beskrivelse

The project investigates the possibilities to save energy in industrial processes using electrical heating methods instead of classic thermal heating. Different electrical heating methods have been described and compared : resistance heating, radiant heating, induced heating, dielectric heating ( included radio-frequency and microwave heating ), focusing on the superior efficiency and better energy savings of electrical heating. The search for this topic was conducted with the list of books and articles available at the University Library and also the last reviewed articles from the IEEE Conferences database. Later experiments will be done on real owens and proposals for improving them will be given. The project is intended to offer new heating solutions for industrial partners of Aalborg University, in order to improve both performances and energy savings. The project is sponsored by PSO/ELFOR and EU mobility grants. (Frede Blaabjerg, Octavian Ghita ?
