Beskrivelse
The main goal of the projct is to minimize the total cost for converting the solar energy into utility grid, with the purpose of using in typical house installations, according to a client perspective. Focus is on the dc/dc conversion at a power scale higher than 1 kW. Phase 1: Develop and implement a mathematical algorithm which controls the operation of the converter, in order to produce the maximum power available from the solar panel, of which characteristic is varying with temperature and solar irradiation. In the same time the algorithm have to detect situations when the parameters are not in the limits and to change the operation mode (start-up, stand-by and de-rating situations). Phase 2: The interface to the solar panel is a converter, including the magnetic components as central elements. These will be optimized and the target is to manufacture inverters according to a customers perspective. For this purpose a PC tool have to be developed. The project is sponsored by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (VTU), Aalborg University and PowerLynx A/S through the industry-innovation programme.
