Physiology and growth of photoautotrophic microorganisms

Phototrophic, mixotrophic and heterotrophic growth of phototrophic microorganisms are investigated with regards to production of biomass, growth physiology and production of the fluorescent pigment, phycocyanin. Optimisation of reactor design as well as on-line control and regulation of photo-bioreactors are part of this research area. (Niels T. Eriksen, Marilyn G. Wiebe; J.J.L.
