Projektdetaljer

Beskrivelse

The project aims to design and implement teaching methodologies that increase the problem & solution based teaching and learning methodologies in higher education.
A series of case studies has been designed in order to include different groups of students from Aalborg University studying the course: Innovation in tourism (2021-2022).
Phase 1 Stevns Klint (2021)
Phase 2 Egeskov (2022)
In the interventions carried out the students are presented by "real problems" in regards to sustainable tourism development faced by stakeholders from tourism destinations; Stevns Klint 2021 & Egeskov 2022.

The students through diverse methodological processes collect data to validate their analysis of the problematic, hence they become able to design solutions which are presented to the stakeholders in order to be contested.

The aim of the project is to explore how the students put in practice their academic and empirical skills & competencies to design a solution or simply to analyse the problematic. Nevertheless to explore how the Problem based learning teaching and learning methodologies are applied in and out of the classroom.
Additionally the project starts a collaborative network among the students and different stakeholders from the industry, reinforcing the industry-academic relations.
The outcomes of the project will be expose in as articles published in academic journals related to Problem and Solution Based Learning and Higher Education Studies.
