Radio Frequency Curing Technology

Projektdetaljer

Beskrivelse

Glued laminated timber is a low carbon solution alternative concrete and steel used for construction of buildings. The global glue laminated timber market size is anticipated to reach USD 8.0 billion by 2025 from USD 3.7 billion by 2019. Growth propelled by global sustainability concerns along with the persistent energy crisis are among the major factors expected to pull market growth over the years to come.
The transition from concrete- and steel-based construction to wood building
materials is set to actuate demand from the market including houses, airports and Olympic Stations. The functional quality of wood needed is obtained by glued laminated timber creating the market for wood press and gluing machines.
Danish manufactures of wood press and gluing machines use radio frequency for glue drying operation on a market with a strong competition based on an identical radio frequency technology.
This project provide a new solution with 10x less power loss, a cost reduction of 6x replacing the vacuum tubes using modular standardized components suited for automated process lines. Digital monitoring and control give increased
controllability of the drying process a long time wish of the industry. The project
push technology from TRL3 to TRL6 and protected by patent application enabling improved and cheaper RF technology with the freedom to operate on the world market.
