Beskrivelse
Abstract:
Biomass storage safety is a huge challenge for the entire modern biomass sector. To solve this problem, it is necessary to use scientific methods to establish a firewall for biomass safe storage. The project will develop and validate a new model for predicting microbial activity and self-heating and ignition in a biomass storage pile. Development of a novel non-intrusive system for real-time monitoring and a reliable tool for forecasting self-ignition of stored biomass, and thus reducing fire risks of biomass storage piles, will not only effectively fill a critical knowledge gap in the modern bioenergy sector and largely boost the entire biomass sector but also create an excellent business opportunity.
